The smart entrance widget, created during the COVID-19 pandemic, helps businesses control the number of people entering a compound. It works by using a touch-enabled device (like a smartphone) as a controller to manage the attendee count. When a predefined threshold is reached, a stop sign appears, and when entry is possible, a green light sign is displayed.
1. Open the Creative Composer:
– In your online Studio CMS account, open the Creative Composer. You’ll find the smart entrance widget in the left arsenal of widgets.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Add the Widget:
– Drag and drop the smart entrance widget from the widget arsenal into the canvas.
2. Customize the Widget:
– **Title:** Enter a title for your widget and choose if it will be visible.
– **Status Images:** Add images for each status. You can create new statuses beyond “Go” and “Stop.” Assign an image for display and another for the controller app. Set the duration in seconds for each status.
3. Set Status Names:
– Ensure you have at least two statuses named and configured.
4. Save Your Creative:
– Click *Save* to finalize your customizations.
Controller Setup
5. Copy Controller Link:
– Click the *Copy Controller Link* button. Use this URL in a browser on any touch device to control the entrance.
6. Create a Controller in Signcast Studio:
– You can also create a controller within Signcast Studio as part of your content. Follow these steps:
– Create a new creative and add the embedded HTML widget.
– In the embedded HTML widget, paste the copied URL in the URL field.
– Click *Save* to finalize the creative.
7. Integrate and Use:
– Use this creative as part of a playlist in the Signcast Studio app, running on a touch device like a smartphone, to control the entrance.
